About us

Our philosophy - we create financial plans for our clients by taking in to account their immediate needs and long term goals, identifying and prioritising our client’s aims. Today, the term for this is “lifestyle financial planning.” It describes the holistic and rounded advice that is so important for our clients. Managing wealth is a long term technique designed to facilitate the life plans of our clients. At the heart of this process is using our knowledge, experience and resources to guide our clients as they progress through life stages – starting out, bringing up a family and retirement - working with you to stay on track as the years pass. Financial planning should start early as it takes time to achieve the desired outcomes. Those people who appoint a financial adviser tend to achieve a higher level of wealth and financial security than those who do not have an adviser.

Wealth Management

Asset Management – at the core of our business is our investment expertise. We can access a huge range of world class investment managers, creating strategies appropriate to your investment profile. As FCA regulated independent financial advisers we are not restricted to a limited choice of financial services providers. Our clients range from those seeking to grow small nest eggs for the future, investing via ISAs or perhaps a pension through to those protecting large inheritances or the proceeds of a settlement or business sale. In each case we can work with your accountant or lawyer to finesse the process through the evaluation of taxation matters or legal structures such as trusts. Working with leading investment houses, we can coordinate the advice ensuring that the investment objective is met through the implementation of a researched strategy.

Protecting the family - Many people insure their most valuable possessions although, only a small number rush to insure their lives. Whether starting out in life, raising finance or starting a business it is always worth investigating the cost of insuring your life or protecting your family from the financial impact of illness or death.

Inheritance tax – This tax has grown in its reach over recent years. Once the preserve of only the wealthiest few, today many people will be subject to this tax on their estate that has been accumulated through earned income (which has also been taxed!). With careful planning the impact of this tax can be legitimately reduced through reliefs given by the HMRC leaving more behind for the benefit of your family.

Retirement planning – over recent years the pace of change in pension legislation has been dramatic and exciting. Not only is there a range of different pension schemes (for example company pensions; personal pensions; auto-enrolment; stakeholder pensions) but the options now open to those who have accumulated pension funds are complex and varied. They include phased retirement, annuities, drawdown and encashment. With each option there are tax implications to consider as well as investment implications. We are here to guide you through maze helping you maximise the opportunities offered by these new developments.

Mortgage & Finance - Following the introduction of new regulations on mortgages, we have access to FCA regulated specialists who can advise you on the vast array of mortgage products available in today’s market.

Advice for businesses - rarely is a business matter separated from the owner / manager of that business. There are areas of important planning that we can help business owners with. These can include pensions and other employee benefit schemes; investment of business reserves; protection against the loss of key employees etc.

Tax Efficiency – this is often a key element in financial planning as thoughtful use of tax wrappers can maximise the benefit of investments over time. In recent times, in common with all Governments around the world, there has been a steady ratcheting up of taxation. We can introduce you to an impressive network of tax and legal experts who can advise on complex matters involving wills, trusts and investments.
